My name is Laura McDonough. I’m 22 years old, Pices and I like apples.
I don’t always know what I’m doing, but I’m always ready to try something new.
When it comes to design, I’m mostly self-taught through tutorials and asking others who probably know more than me. The first time I did a clipping mask in Illustrator it took almost an hour to get it right, but I didn’t give up on it. So, if nothing else, I’m determined.
I took a journalism class in high school and liked it a little, so I decided to major in it, and I’m pretty great. I mean, they decided to make me the editor-in-chief at The Jambar for 2017-2018, so I can’t be doing that bad.
I manage The Jambar, a completely student-run newspaper at Youngstown State University with a print publication every Thursday. The staff is great, the work is fufilling and sometimes we have pizza parties.
